Children greeting host Kareena
"Crystal Palace Television Show" - A Live-Action, Saturday Morning Children's TV Series.

In January 1993, FilmLegend began the strategic development and reintroduction of local children’s programming into the Columbus, Ohio market. The first to be a commitment of a one-hour children’s program called "Crystal Palace Television Show."  The show debuted five months after concept introduction on the independent station WCLS-TV62 in May 1993.

The weekly children’s television series which aired for three years was produced before a live-studio audience and was the first locally originated children’s television program to be produced in over 22 years of Columbus' history. The last children’s television program being "Luci’s Toyshop," that was originally produced by CBS Columbus affiliate WBNS-10TV, local producer/director John Haldi, and hosts Luci VanLeeuwen and Chuck White.

"A Tribute To Luci's Toyshop, "THE MOVIE" In November 1994, Wendy’s International joined FilmLEGEND Entertainment in producing the first ever movie to be released locally in Columbus on the big screen in AMC Theatres ("Crystal Palace's Tribute To Luci’s Toyshop").  FilmLEGEND utilized this movie as a community outreach event to fuel the introduction of Columbus' next locally-produced children’s show. Wendy's then parented the weekly series by becoming the Official National & Presenting Sponsor of the children's television program.

Prior to Wendy’s involvement, there was unkindled interest in local children’s programming among Columbus station affiliates. After several meetings between production firm, major sponsor and television affiliate, FilmLegend was offered program clearance for "CRYSTAL PALACE" from NBC Affiliate WCMH-TV4 in January 1995 for the following season.
